Looking at some more of the walai-walai djau tucker again this week. This is a very ma’djim (seafood) rich time of year so there was also a lot of Da’la’ra (winter whiting) and binger (bream). Yugan’kan (dugong) were also plentiful feeding on the sea grasses, the Butchulla people were always very careful though only to hunt the old females and young bulls and only took what was needed.
