Gaa’wung – magpie, Gula – koala, Dja’la – QLD lung fish
Sitting beside the almost dry gununu (waterhole) I noticed a dja’la on the surface taking a fresh lungful of air. The gaa’wung was singing to it in the da’ba (gum tree), while the gula snored the da’buth’bee (morning) away.
