Darunba – black cockatoo, Gagar – echidna, Dai’ar’lee – tailor
Yanman (walking) in the gira barang barang (early morning light) I could hear the gagar scratching around in the baan (grass) for barum (ants) while the darunba squawked in the dhuu (tree) above. The perfect morning to head to the yarung (beach) and fish for dai’ar’lee.
