Welcome to 2026, lets continue learning our mundi mundi (beautiful) Butchulla Language. We finished off last year with the word guri(turn). For a change of pace this year we will be learning a few words together, so let’s start with: Biyal – peewee, Bula – cow, Bala – catfish. Sitting by the dungi (river), a bula came to watch me catch a bala while the biyal sang in the da’ba (gum tree).
